My Favorite Action Anime Series

Now that you can see that I have given in to the gods of lists and uninspired content, let me introduce my first list! This list will cover my favorite five action series. Now I have only one rule for the entries in this list. NO BATTLE SHONEN ANIME. So goodbye Dragon Ball, My Hero Academia, Naruto, One Piece and Fairy tail. I do this to give another series the focus they deserve. And the best part of this list is that the series don’t even have to be an action series primarily to make the cut. As long as action can stand out enough for me to enjoy, its eligible to appear on this list. Another point I wanted to make is that series with thriller or mystery aspect will also not appear on this list. At last, you don’t have to agree with me. More than that, suggest me more series to watch!!

HONORABLE MENTIONS

ATTACK ON TITAN: THE ACTION IS MORE THRILL RIDE THAN PURE ACTION. THE TECHNICALITY OF EREN vs REINER WAS AMAZING, BUT IT DOESN’T COMPENSATE FOR THE WHOLE SERIES. NOW THE ACTION IN SEASON 3A WAS BORDERLINE CRIMINALLY AMAZING, BUT THE SERIES HAS NOT ADVANCED LONG ENOUGH TO DESERVE A SPOT ON MY LIST.

HELLSING: FOR WHAT I HAVE WATCHED, THE ACTION IS REALLY GOOD. UNFORTUNATELY, I HAVE YET TO FINISH THE WHOLE OVA SERIES TO NAME IT AS ONE OF MY FAV. ACTION SERIES.
CAT SHIT ONE: THIS SINGLE CGI OVA IMPRESSED ME SO MUCH! THE MILITARY ACTION KEEPS YOU ON YOUR TOES AND THE EXECUTION IS NEAR ORGASMIC.

B: THE BEGINNING: I WAS IMPRESSED WITH A SINGLE FIGHT SCENE, AND IF YOU HAVE WATCHED THE SERIES, YOU KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. THE FIGHT TOOK PLACE BETWEEN KOKU AND IZANAMI, AND PRODUCTION IG FLEXES ITS SKILLS IN YOUR FACE. BUT JUST LIKE DEATH NOTE, B: THE BEGINNING PREFERS TO FOCUS ON MYSTERY RATHER THAN ACTION.

5: PUELLA MAGI MADOKA MAGICA

THIS MAY/MAY NOT BE A SURPRISE TO YOU BUT MADOKA WAS A VERY IMPORTANT ANIME SERIES TO EVER COME. GOOD PEOPLE AT SHAFT MADE A REVOLUTIONARY ANIME THAT INSPIRED NUMEROUS CLONES THAT HAD VARYING SUCCESS. BUT NONE OF THEM COULD EVEN COME CLOSE TO CHALLENGING MADOKA MAGICA’S LEGACY.

THE DARK PARTS OF DESPAIR THAT COME WITH THIS ANIME REALLY BALANCES OUT WITH THE USE OF POPPY COLORS AND WATERCOLOR ENEMIES. THE SLICE OF LIFE GOES OUT THE WINDOW WHEN THE DAMNED CAT COME TO MADOKA, FLINGING THE RECORD DEAL. AND EVERYTHING GO TO SHIT ONE BY ONE AS YOU PROGRESS THROUGH THE EPISODES.
IF FOR SOME REASON YOU HAVE AVOIDED THIS SERIES OR MISSED IT, ITS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO YOU. IT DOES SOMETHING FRESH WITH MAGICAL GIRL GENRE BY SWAPPING THEIR MAGICAL WANDS WITH SNORLAX SIZED FLINTLOCKS, A SHIELD FULL OF AMMO AND GUNS, SUAVE SWORDWORK, AND SOUL SUCKING JEWELS.

4. RWBY
NOBODY SAID ALL PLACES WOULD BE COVERED BY ANIME. I LOVE ME SOME RWBY. THIS OUTING BY ROOSTERTEETH AND BIRTHCHILD OF MONTY OUM IS LITTERED WITH ACTION, SECRETS, CUTE GIRLS, AND A STEAMING PILE OF GARBAGE THAT IS SEASON 6.

IT BEING A FULLY 3D SHOW, HAS A VERY IMPRESSIVE MOVEMENT PATTERNS THAT REALLY REACH THEIR PEAK IN ACTION SCENES. EVEN AFTER SIX SEASONS MY FAVORITE FIGHT COMES FROM SEASON 1. RWBY VS A GIANT CROW SOUNDS LAME, BUT I GIVE YOU MY WORD, YOU’D BE IMPRESSED.
NOW I KNOW NOT MANY PEOPLE WOULD FOLLOW MY ADVICE(CHEEKY CUNTS), THAT’S WHY WE’LL PROCEED WITH THE LIST. BUT AFTER YOU WATCH THE NEXT SERIES, GO BACK TO RWBY. GIVE IT A GO!

3. SAGA OF TANYA THE EVIL

LOLI DOES NOT FLOAT MY BOAT. THAT WHOLE ASPECT OF JAPANESE MEDIA CAN BE PUT TO REST TOMORROW, AND I WONT BAT AN EYE. BUT AFTER WATCHING NO GAME NO LIFE AND ESPECIALLY TANYA, I AM OBLIGED TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT SMARTASS LOLI.
THE WHOLE SHOW WAS SUCH A TRIP FOR ME. I MARATHONED WHOLE THING AND WAS SO STUFFED WITH ACTION. SOMETIMES, YOU DON’T NEED SMART STRATEGIES OR HUGE SCREAMS, BUT JUST A SIMPLE SADISTIC LOLI READY TO RAGE ON GOD.
AND THAT IS WHAT I GOT FROM TANYA. THE MILITARY TROPE REALLY HELPED PUTTING THOSE ACTIONS SCENES IN CONTEXT AND MADE US CARE FOR THE CHARACTERS. IT IS EASY TO CRAM MINDLESS OR FILLED ACTION, BUT FOR IT TO BE SO IMPRESSIVE AND IMMERSIVE AT THE SAME TIME, SAGA OF TANYA THE EVIL TO ME WAS WHAT IS COKE TO A JUNKIE.

2. HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD

I WILL SAY IT ONCE AND ONCE ONLY: THIS IS NOT A GUILTY PLEASURE FOR ME. I AM NOT GUILTY TO LIKE HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD. WHAT IS THERE TO HIDE YOURSELF FROM? ITS MADE BY MADHOUSE. IT HAS A SOLID STORYTELLING MEDIUM. BUSTY LADIES WITH BOUNCING BOOBS. AND MINDLESS, EXTREME ACTION THAT KICKS THE PANTS OFF GENERIC ACTION SERIES. THIS IS WHAT WAS NEW BACK IN 2010. BTW I DO THINK 2010 SHOULD ALSO BE NAMED A LEGENDARY YEAR FOR ANIME, NEXT TO 2011.
HOTD, IF YOU DON’T KNOW, IS AN ANIME FULL OF ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE, TUMBLING HEIRARCHY, FALLING POLITICAL STANDINGS. AND WHAT STANDS OUT OF ALL OF THIS IS THE BOKEN CLAD BUSUJIMA, GUN TOTING KOHTA, MEDIC SHIZUKA, BRAINLET SAYA, REBOUND MISTRESS REI AND BITCHSLAPPER TAKASHI, WHO HAPPENS TO JUGGLE TWO OF THESE CHICKS AT THE SAME TIME. THEY FORM A PARTY THAT MASTER IN TAKING NAMES, WEARING MINIMUM AND KILLING ZOMBIES.
